“Alongside my TEFL diploma, I hold a Bachelors and Honours degree in English Literature. I am a qualified teacher with more than 10 years of experience. I love teaching English, and I take pride in curating lessons that align with the interests and capabilities of my students. I aim to create a learning environment that is supportive, challenging and fun! I have experience teaching General English and Business English, as well as Academic Literacy. What I love most about teaching for BiE is that I get to meet students from different parts of the world. I am also a part time lecturer at a university in South Africa where I work with post graduate students who are training to become English teachers. I try to stay up to date with the latest research and trends in language teaching and learning. I enjoy spending time in nature, hiking, running and doing yoga. I love to cook for my friends and family, and am an avid reader.”

“I began teaching English four years ago, when I arrived in Paris speaking no French at all, and had to face all of the difficulties that came with that; making mistakes or feeling annoyed when you can only say simple phrases. I understand all of these challenges and have overcome them in my own life and we can work together to overcome yours too to achieve your goals! I have a CELTA and have worked online/ in person with many different types of students.

I have a degree in English from the University of Leeds and I am a self-taught, C1.2 Spanish speaker. “A highly motivated, former finance executive, I now successfully teach business English to professionals
and entrepreneurs, applying the same passion and curiosity. I earned a TEFL certificate, B.S. in business
administration, and am a Certified Public Accountant. Lesson plans are tailored to the goals and
interests of my students and involve critical thinking activities related to their specialty (marketing,
project management) or specific job requirements (negotiations, job interviews, writing). I enjoy
teaching pronunciation because students appreciate how it accelerates their fluency. I am a long-time
learner of Spanish. I love laughing, traveling, and volunteering.”
