English for real estate agents

Why do real estate agents need English?

Real estate agents speak English so they don’t lose international clients: buyers looking for a second home, investors, professionals relocating for work, and long-term tenants. Many of them choose the agency that answers in their language.

General English is not enough. You need to explain a listing agreement, describe a property, answer questions about the neighborhood and monthly fees, and guide the buyer all the way to closing.

The hardest part is explaining your local process. Deposits, contracts, the role of a notary or an attorney, and taxes on the purchase work differently from one country to another, and your clients need a clear explanation in English.

Who is the course for?

Classes start from what you do every day with English-speaking clients.

Agents and brokers

Run viewings, negotiate offers, and guide international buyers through the sale.

Property managers

Explain leases, deposits, and fees, and answer requests from tenants and guests.

Developers and new builds

Present projects, floor plans, and completion dates to international investors.

Commercial real estate

Talk about leasable space, yields, and transactions with international partners.

English for real estate course program

Your teacher builds the classes around the stages of a transaction. Each stage is practiced in speaking and in writing (emails, WhatsApp messages, phone calls).

  1. Listing appointment

Explain your valuation, your commission, and the difference between an open and an exclusive listing.

  2. Listing and presentation

Write a listing in English: size, rooms, orientation, condition, and work needed.

  3. Viewing

Welcome buyers, show the property, and answer questions about the neighborhood, schools, and fees.

  4. Offer and negotiation

Receive an offer, pass on a counteroffer, and handle objections on price.

  5. From contract to closing

Explain deposits, contingencies, inspections, the role of the notary or attorney, and closing costs.

  6. Rentals and management

Leases, security deposits, move-in inspections, and vacation rentals.

The program adapts to your work: sales, rentals, new developments, or luxury properties. You can bring your listings and emails, with personal data removed, to work on real cases.

American and British real estate vocabulary

Your clients don’t all speak the same English. Here are 14 terms you will use in a transaction, in both versions.

Role play

Sample real estate English class

Each class prepares a real situation from your week. You speak most of the time, and your teacher corrects what matters most to your clients.

  • Presenting a property

“The apartment is south-facing and has just been renovated.”

  • Talking about price

“The seller is open to offers, but this price is in line with the market.”

  • Explaining the process

“Once the offer is accepted, the next step is signing the purchase agreement.”

  • Following up in writing

“I’m following up on Saturday’s viewing. Would you like to see the apartment again?”

Sample 45-minute class

10 min · Your next viewing

You tell your teacher about this week’s property and client.

20 min · Role play

You show the property. Your teacher plays the buyer and asks the tough questions.

15 min · Feedback

You go over your mistakes and leave with the key phrases for the day of the viewing.

I've had a wonderful experience learning English at this school! The program is well-structured, engaging, and truly helps you improve naturally and confidently. All the teachers are highly professional and supportive, always creating a welcoming and motivating atmosphere. I want to give special thanks to Gabu Ithier – she is an outstanding teacher! Her energy, patience, and ability to explain even the most complex things in a clear and fun way made every class a joy. I’m incredibly grateful for the progress I’ve made with her help. Thank you to the entire team – I’m so glad I chose this school!

All the teachers I've worked with are native speakers, super professional, and really good at adapting lessons to what I need What I love most is how personalized everything feels, it's not just a generic course. The classes are structured but flexible, and I can see real progress in my speaking and confidence. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants serious, high quality English lessons with great teachers
