About Break Into English
Break Into English is an online language academy specialising in one-to-one English lessons with native teachers. Our method is based on active conversation and personalised content tailored to your goals.
We believe the fastest way to real fluency is speaking from day one with a native teacher who adapts to you, not the other way around.
Our individual online English courses
All our online English courses are taught by native English speakers who have been internally trained to apply the Break Into English method.
Personalised lessons are delivered online and you can choose the video conferencing platform that suits you best: Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, etc.
Break Into English offers an online English for tourism course, taught one-to-one over video by a native teacher assigned to you. You practice the English of your job: welcoming visitors, giving information, selling a tour, taking bookings, guiding a group, and handling problems. Classes run 7 days a week on Zoom, Teams, or Meet, from €14.38 per class. Your first 30-minute class is free.

30 minutes to assess your level, talk about your job and your guests, and try our method. No commitment and no credit card.
The Break Into English course for tourism professionals is taught one-to-one over video, with a native teacher you keep from start to finish. It starts from your job and your real situations: a family at the visitor desk, a day trip to sell, a group whose coach is running late.
With international guests, English helps you inform, advise, and sell, but also reassure when something does not go to plan. A guest who feels understood leaves a better review and is more likely to come back.
That is why the classes focus on speaking: you do most of the talking, through role-plays from your job, and your teacher corrects what matters in front of your guests.
Classes follow a dynamic method focused on speaking and listening. Your teacher combines several activities based on your goal and, if useful, uses our General English and Business English textbooks.
You prepare a presentation of a place or a tour you sell and present it to your teacher.
You summarize a short audio clip, then summarize it again using the new vocabulary, and get used to different accents.
You describe a photo of a site or a landscape, then describe it again using 3 to 7 new words.
Grammar is practiced out loud, based on your own mistakes, with no fill-in-the-blank drills.
Sample 45-minute class
You present a tour or a place as you would to a guest.
You work on comprehension and vocabulary with an audio clip.
You welcome a visitor played by your teacher, then go over your mistakes.
Course length depends on your starting level and your goal. To make fast progress, we recommend at least 2 hours of class per week, with a little practice between classes.
Classes last 30, 45, or 60 minutes and are booked in packs of 5 to 40 sessions.
Classes run 7 days a week and can be canceled for free up to 6 hours before, so you can step up before the season and keep a lighter pace during the busy months.
The course adapts to your role and to the visitors you meet.
Give information, recommend an activity, and present your city and its surroundings.
Sell a trip, manage a booking, and answer customers by phone or email.
Lead a guided tour, tell the story of a place, and answer questions from a group.
Prepare for an internship or a first job working with international visitors.
The CEFR measures language level in 6 steps, from A1 to C2. Here are benchmarks by role, with the TOEIC Listening & Reading score that matches each level according to ETS.
| Role | Recommended CEFR level | TOEIC score (out of 990) |
|---|---|---|
| Front desk, seasonal staff | B1 | From 550 |
| Travel agent, trip advisor | B1 to B2 | 550 to 785 |
| Tour guide, attraction host | B2 | From 785 |
| Manager, product manager | B2 to C1 | 785 to 945 |
B2 is a common requirement in tourism job postings with international guests. The TOEIC does not measure C2.
Your teacher builds each class around your job. Every situation is practiced in role-play, out loud and in writing.
Greet a visitor, understand the request, and give directions, opening hours, and prices.
Present a tour or a trip, highlight what makes it special, and close the sale.
Take a booking, change it, confirm it in writing, and explain the cancellation policy.
Tell the history of a place, describe a landmark, and keep a group engaged in English.
Handle a delay, a cancellation, or an unhappy guest, and offer a solution.
Reply to an online review, write an offer description, and send a sales email.

I've had a wonderful experience learning English at this school! The program is well-structured, engaging, and truly helps you improve naturally and confidently. All the teachers are highly professional and supportive, always creating a welcoming and motivating atmosphere. I want to give special thanks to Gabu Ithier – she is an outstanding teacher! Her energy, patience, and ability to explain even the most complex things in a clear and fun way made every class a joy. I’m incredibly grateful for the progress I’ve made with her help. Thank you to the entire team – I’m so glad I chose this school!
Break Into English offers excellent one-on-one online lessons with skilled native-speaking teachers who tailor each session to your needs. Their professional approach make learning both effective and enjoyable. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to improve their English confidently and efficiently.
I've been taking classes with Break Into English for a while now, and it's honestly one of the best learning experiences I’ve had. All the teachers I've worked with are native speakers, super professional, and really good at adapting lessons to what I need What I love most is how personalized everything feels, it's not just a generic course. The classes are structured but flexible, and I can see real progress in my speaking and confidence. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants serious, high quality English lessons with great teachers
This has been the best experience I’ve ever had — I truly enjoy every lesson with Kirstyn, and we’ve been having them for the past two years already (Wow!)!
